Visit to Eastern Nepal

The RECAST team led by Prof. Ram Prasad Chaudhary recently visited Kangchenjunga Landscape (KL)-Nepal districts, Jhapa, Ilam, Panchthar, and Taplejung and discussed the draft Conservation and Development Strategy and Implementation Plan of the Kangchenjunga Conservation and Development Initiative (KLCDI) with the key stakeholders. KLCDI is a joint programme of Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation, Government of Nepal, and ICIMOD. RECAST is responsible to prepare necessary documents (Feasibility Assessment Report, Conservation and Development Strategy and Implementation Plan) for implementation of the KLCDI by the end 2014.
